Partners Launch Sustainable Agriculture Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean
Key partners in development will meet in New York City on Sunday, September 27 to launch AgroLAC 2025, a funding platform aimed at boosting the productivity, performance and environmental sustainability of agriculture in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Hosted by the government of Colombia and the Inter-American Development Bank, the event will feature IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno, Dow Chief Sustainability Officer Neil Hawkins, and The Nature Conservancy’s President and CEO Mark Tercek. Representatives from the U.S. State Department, the World Economic Forum and the Latin American Conservation Council will participate as well.
The event, which will be open only to guests and accredited press, will highlight the opportunities to invest in agriculture in Latin America and the Caribbean as a means to strengthen global food security in face of challenges such as a rapidly expanding world population and climate change.
